Fallout 3

A game with a pedigree always has a lot to live up to and in this trio, Fallout is certainly the one with the most to lose by bringing us a shoddy title. With the release date set for October 08 (officially), there is not much time to wait to see if it lives up to its older brethren.

From what we have seen of Fallout so far, the game’s range and scope are going to wow players in no uncertain terms.

Black Prophecy

More futuristic than Apocalyptic, Black Prophecy is an upcoming MMORPG that pits players against the inevitable global/universal/dimensional threat. There seem to be a number of these out these days. Just off the top of our heads, Tabula Rasa and Mass Effect are two that have stood out.

We wonder if BP will stand tall in such company or if it will be trying to ride the coattails of others to decent sales. Look for it at year end, barring mishaps.

Metro 2033

The Last Refuge, Ah, this is what we like to see. Most of humanity is dead, there are gigantic mutant trees and animals roaming the place and the last vestiges of mankind are living in a nuclear shelter in Moscow. What’s not to like.Sounding a little like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and looking a bit like it as well, we can’t really remain convinced that this isn’t a bit of a knock-off but time will tell on this score. It looks pretty good and as always, we’re hoping for something a little special to surprise us. It may fall flat though.
