A few more games to look forward to

Some sequels, some new and some that may disappoint

Civilization IV: Colonization
Part three of Sid Meier’s Civ IV series, this is going to be a standalone title (so you won’t need the original) which will recreate the European colonisation of the New World.

The game engine has been redesigned and gameplay will involve one of four European nations on their quest to conquer the new world. We wonder if they will include slavery as a Dutch option.

Highlander
Taking on the role of the immortal Owen MacLeod and playing through from the First Century BC to the present day, this could go either way as far as a good game goes.

We really want it to be a success since the concept is almost perfect for a gaming title and there are swords! Features will include using your immortality to disarm opponents by taking a blow to the body and walking off with the weapon embedded in yourself and all sort of other cool… er… stuff.

There can be only one!

Tomb Raider: Underworld
Due out in November this year, Lara Croft is back once again to raid tombs.

This time around she is hunting for the whereabouts of Mjolnir, the legendary hammer of Thor. As per usual, this will have players traversing the globe in search of signs and clues to the location of said relic.

There are a couple of new features in the game, some have been upgraded (the grapple) and the motorcycle sections look to be making a welcome return to Lara’s arsenal.
