Getting out of the realm of the console, while staying right there
It was announced yesterday that in addition to the console versions of the long-awaited Street Fighter IV, it will be hitting PCs on release.
It will be released on the arcade version before hitting the various platforms and will allow PC users to spend some combat time with Ryu, Ken and Chun-Li.
It also features some all new characters and game modes as well as some of the old favourites.
Gameplay will be the classic 2D version but will make use of 3D character models and environments.
The combo system has been overhauled and will now play host to Super Combos and revenge-based Ultra Combos.
Additional platforms for the game’s release are the Xbox 360 and the PS3, along with the Arcade machine which will most likely be a hit in Japan and overseas but there is little hope of getting our hands on one here in SA for some time.
