Have a little patience; it’ll be here in time for Christmas
Atari’s Neverwinter Nights 2 has got a new addition to the family and it seems set for release towards the end of this year.
The expansion, Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir, is in production at the moment and seems set to get back to the older days in the franchise. It will dip into its roots by emulating the likes of Icewind Dale and Baldur’s Gate from days gone by.
It promises full party customisation, free-roaming dungeons and a non-linear quest system for the new addition.
Support for multiplayer and modders have been improved as well with a few brand new features sneaking in to keep all those folks happy.
A brief overview of the storyline of the new section of Neverwinter sees players trying to build up their fortunes after the defeat of the King of Shadows. As time passes, they become aware of a new factor in their world working behind the scenes of the Sword Coast.
These friendly (not really) folks are a serpent race known as the Yuan-Ti.
Fans should be on the lookout for Storm of Zehir to arrive around November this year, just in time for Christmas.
